Serving the Community with Dedication and Excellence

The Wichita Mountain Estates Volunteer Fire Department (WMEVFD) proudly serves approximately 4,500 residents in northwest Comanche County, based on the most recent census data. Our department is located in the unincorporated northwest area of Lawton, Oklahoma, adjacent to the northwest boundary of Fort Sill Military Base.

Established in 1983 by Robert “Bob” Martineau, a retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major, WMEVFD has a long-standing tradition of service, professionalism, and community commitment.

Our Mission

Wichita Mountain Estates Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer, Title-18 fire department and a 911 emergency response agency. We operate under Mutual Aid and Automatic Aid agreements and are fully 911 dispatched, ensuring rapid and coordinated response to emergencies throughout our district and surrounding areas.
